You are leaving your hometown. Tonight, actually. Your bag is packed, your plans are made, and your best friend promised to come along. Now all you can do is wait, and wonder whether they will really show up.
Something's Always Wrong is a solo journaling game by Nate Southard about regret and hope, failure and promise. It is a game about that feeling that things should be better, that you were supposed to be better. Guided by writing prompts, you look back on the life you are about to leave behind and find out what a fresh start is truly worth to you.
Play is quiet and reflective, closer to writing a letter you will never send than to rolling for initiative. That makes it a good fit for an evening alone, whether this is your first journaling game or you already keep a shelf of them. All you need is the zine, something to write with, and a little time.
