MythWatch: Age of Redbad - Starter Set (In Dutch)

Frisia, around the year 700. Traders cross the mudflats, the old gods still have their shrines, and King Redbad holds his ground against the Franks. MythWatch: Age of Redbad is a cooperative historical roleplaying game from Mythemakers, a Frisian foundation, made in collaboration with the Fries Museum, the Fryske Akademy, the University of Groningen and partners in Germany.

One player is the Guide, who narrates the world. The others are Mythmakers: people tied to history through its stories, who shape what happens with their choices. You trade, negotiate, travel and fight in a world where the old beliefs and the new Christian faith pull at each other. The game teaches itself as you play, so a group without any roleplaying experience is up and running within minutes, and practical safety tools help everyone feel at home at the table.

The box contains an A4 rulebook, an A5 Learn by Playing booklet, a starter adventure, a play map, 5 dice in a branded pouch, 4 pre-made character sheets and 1 blank sheet, 12 status cards, a sceatta coin, and 11 cut-out miniatures with 8 bases. The setting is built on archaeology, research and local legend, and all artwork was made by professional artists without AI.

Ideal for 3 to 5 players aged 12 and up, with sessions of around two hours. A lovely way in for newcomers, families and history lovers, and a fresh setting for experienced players who want something close to home. Please note: this edition is in Dutch.
