The sun has shattered. Most of the world lies under the Wildernight, an endless darkness in which magic is slowly fading, and only one small valley still glows beneath the sun's scattered shards. There, on twisting vines, grow the Midnight Muscadines: grapes that hold the last threads of the world's magic.
In Midnight Muscadines you play Marmateers, jam makers and adventurers who forage for these rare grapes and preserve them into magical jams. This cozy-dark fantasy RPG from Pandion Games pairs grand adventure and real danger with warm summer days, crisp autumn evenings and the quiet satisfaction of a well-stocked pantry.
How it plays
The game is built for solo, duet, GM-less or classic GM-led play, so it works just as well on a quiet evening alone as at a full table. You resolve actions with dice and a standard deck of playing cards. Jam-making is the heart of the magic system: you combine ingredients from a collection of 52 wondrous components into a jar, and you decide how their effects blend together. Conflicts can be fought, argued or cleverly solved, and the rules treat all three as equally valid.
