There is a world called Eem. It used to be magnificent. That was a while ago.

In Land of Eem, you play adventurers wandering a vibrant fantasy world that has seen better days - but one that is also home to gelatinous goos, skeleton bards, turtle-like quortles, and enough strange creatures to fill a bestiary all on their own. The tone is warm and playful, the world is rich with history, and the rules are welcoming to players at any level.

The Core Rulebook contains everything you need to begin: 6 character classes with 20 unique abilities each, 16 playable Folk species, 200 magic items, 100 spells, 150+ crafting components, and an extensive set of random tables for encounters, dungeons, and NPCs - built on a clean d12 mechanic. Characters earn XP not from combat, but from roleplaying, exploration, and engaging with the world. Fights happen, but they are not the point. The game won three ENNIE Awards in 2025, including Gold for Best Family Game and Gold for Best Monster/Adversary Book.
