Ankh-Morpork has always been a city where anything can happen, and usually does, twice before breakfast. Discworld - Adventures in Ankh-Morpork is the official roleplaying game based on Sir Terry Pratchett's novels, published by Modiphius Entertainment and written by Andrew Douthwaite, Bryce Johnston, Evie Moriarty and Rachael Cruz.
The game runs on the Narrativium system, built specifically for the Discworld. It uses a standard set of polyhedral dice and puts the story first: the rules keep things moving and never get in the way of a good joke or a narrow escape. You play ordinary people of the city, the kind who get caught up in events far above their pay grade.
Inside you will find full character creation rules, five pre-generated Thieves' Guild characters and a guided tour of the city: Unseen University, the Shades, Sator Square, the Guilds and the Patrician's Palace. Familiar faces such as Archchancellor Ridcully, the Librarian, Rincewind, Commander Vimes and Lord Vetinari each get a profile, and an NPC generator helps you fill the streets with residents of your own. The book closes with Bad Eggs in the Big City, a 50-page introductory adventure.
This is the Digest Edition of the core rulebook: a full-colour softcover of around 295 pages at 242 x 162 mm, compact enough to take anywhere. It suits Pratchett readers who have always wanted to walk those streets themselves, and groups looking for a warm, witty fantasy game where the story matters more than the numbers on your sheet.
Add it to cart - it ships from Leeuwarden.
