A remote weekend in the Black Hills of South Dakota, early 1990s. Alex and Charlie hope to rekindle their marriage. But in the forgotten corners of the world live things older and darker than a broken heart.

Alone Against the Static is a solo adventure for Call of Cthulhu. No Keeper required, no group to gather - just you, the book and the choices you make. You play as either Alex or Charlie, each with their own strengths, weaknesses and branching paths. No two playthroughs are the same.

The adventure introduces the Log Sheet: a separate, spoiler-free tracking sheet for the choices you make, the secrets you uncover and the items you find. It doubles as a list of achievements. Can you unlock everything there is to discover? Included as well is a brand-new Mythos entity, ready to drop into scenarios of your own.

To play, you'll need the Call of Cthulhu Keeper Rulebook or the Call of Cthulhu Starter Set. A hissing television, a lonely cabin, a silence that lasts too long: this is horror to face on your own, ideally once it's already dark outside.
