Bluebeard's Bride - Core Book

Bluebeard's Bride is an investigatory horror roleplaying game built on the dark fairy tale of Bluebeard. Together you and your fellow players portray the psyche of his newest wife, each embodying one facet of the Bride: the Animus, the Fatale, the Mother, the Virgin and the Witch.

Room by room you explore your husband's lavish mansion, uncovering the nightmarish memories that haunt it and the fate of the wives who came before you. Every discovery pushes the Bride closer to the locked room, and to the choice that defines the tale: will you be faithful, or disloyal?

The game uses the streamlined Powered by the Apocalypse system, with rules that focus on tension, imagery and difficult choices rather than combat. A Groundskeeper guides the horror while the players share control of a single character, which makes for an intense, intimate kind of play.

This is feminine horror for adult players: expect body horror, dread and heavy themes, best handled with care and clear safety tools. The square hardcover (20 by 20 cm) comes with full-color artwork, a gold foil embossed cover, a silk bookmark, five playbooks and a play material insert. For 3 to 5 players, ages 18 and up.
